Kansas City Radio Control Association
AMA Club #390 - AMA District VI
The Kansas City Radio Control Association was chartered with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) as club number #390 in 1954. We have a North - South asphalt runway 500 feet long by 40 feet wide. Adjacent to the asphalt runway there is similarly sized grass runway. Our field includes concrete pads and tables in the pit area, plenty of shade trees and a spacious shelter house. There are also bleachers for spectators.
We hold monthly meetings the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM. May through August we meet at the flying field, September through April we meet at the EAA Hangar at Lees Summit Airport. Guests are always welcome. If you are interested in radio control flying stop by a meeting or meet us out at the field anytime.
The best thing about our club is that we have is a group of good hearted members who are always willing to help out someone new to the hobby. We have designated trainers and a club trainer plane for those who want to try RC flying. Once you try, you'll be hooked on Radio Control model airplane flying!
